Applications 01
Applications are currently reduced in severity due to the game being in trial format. Several parts that will be in the application will not actually be required at this time. Like the history, the personality, and the samples. Yeah, those.
Important Rules
1. You must be at least 15 to play.
2. We accept fandom characters and original characters. AUs are not currently allowed.
3. We have a character limit of 3 for now - this will increase later.
4. Should we request another sample, you have a week from that request date to supply one before the application is automatically rejected.

Portfolio: If we want to get technical, he was originally a god of light. Given who he is now, he'd be of chaos/freedom as well.
Explanation: In the beginning he was dubbed the lightbringer, the morning star venus because it was what brought the dawn. As history has it, he fell for standing up for his beliefs in chaos and freedom which conflicted with YHVH's desire to bring law and order to humanity.

Explanation: She manages (well, she doesn't exactly run the inn itself, but I can't think of a better word) an inn that exists in a rift between dimensions. It is capable of appearing in many dimensions at once and acts something like a dimensional nexus where many people can meet.

Explanation: Let's face it, Dante's a lot more human than most of us. Him being a half-demon helps him see the humanity in others, or their lack of humanity. Take a look at Trish or Brad/Bradley, for example: When Trish expressed regret for her actions and shed tears for them, Dante told her that devils never cry and that only humans shed tears. For Brad, Dante said he would make it as a human since he loved Angelina (he even pretty much comforted the guy in a Dante fashion). To Dante, if you express empathy, love, regret or the like, you are human. It doesn't matter who or what you are, if you show that you have the capacity to love, care, regret, or what have you, you are human and are capable of being around humans or living with them.

Explanation: Casper's a Scion of Hel, the Norse goddess of death. Casper himself has a pretty good range of ice powers at his point in canon, and the eventual plan was to make him the god of frozen death or whatever. Death would fit some other characters better, so just frost for him.

Explanation: Now one might ask why not irony? And I would have to counter that with a simple no. Bro is incredibly mischievous; he's often seen (I use that word loosely, very loosely) flash stepping about the apartment just messing with his little bro. Leaving around creepy comics and little puppet filled traps around for him to stumble into. As well as replacing the contents of the fridge with swords and filling the ice dispenser with cherry bombs, that's just to name a few... and for what purpose? Well, why not?

Fandom: Tokyo Mew Mew
History: So Bu-ling is eight years old and the oldest of six kids who are from China but live in Tokyo and their mom got sick and died and their dad is training in the mountains fighting bears so Bu-ling raises the kids on her own with the help of her pet monkey who probably escaped from the zoo, and also Bu-ling is a monkey because SCIENCE and a magical girl also because SCIENCE and things happen but nobody really cares because aliens kill everyone and then they all come back to life except now Tokyo is covered in plants.
Personality: She likes money and everyone is an oniichan.
Other: I lied. They can also be oneechans or ojiichans or obaachans and kids her own age get to just be referred to by their names.
Portfolio: Family
Explanation: Aside from being the kind of kid people want to adopt, Bu-ling is very tied to her family. Her habit of busking and performing in public, her often shameless behaviour, and her near-obsession with money all stem from needing to provide for her younger siblings, and she doesn't begrudge her father for leaving her in charge at the age of eight (or possibly younger, since we don't know when he left) but simply waits for him to come back. She also studies her family traditions, like the Yellow Monkey Style of martial arts and various home remedies and "secret formulas" (she knocks security guards out with some very strong-smelling stuff in a bottle once, which she made out of random plants growing around in accordance with an old family recipe). Finally, really, it was this or Goddess of Monkeys.

Are you at least 15?: Si I am.
Current characters: Bro Strider.
Character: Mom Lalonde.
Fandom: Homestuck.
History: Mom raised Rose on her own up until Rose turned 13 and everything with Sburb happened. When Rose was younger Mom drank heavily and because of it she feels as though she has let Rose down. She firmly believes that she shouldn’t have had any right raising kids and was a piss poor excuse for a mother. She had her reasons for drinking but not ones that she had discussed with Rose nor does she plan to. Once Rose had entered the medium that was the time when Mom had left to and later met up with John’s father prior to entering Skaia, weapons in hand. She died not long after that alongside Dad by Jack Noir’s hands.
Personality: She seemed to have had a strained relationship with her daughter Rose and her acts of genuine sympathy and interest in Rose’s hobbies came off as cold, passive aggressive acts of cruel irony. When she decided to hold a full blown funeral for their cat would have been one of these moments. Although she seems to not be very supportive of her daughter this couldn’t be further from the truth. Some of her interests would include, wizards, science, astrology and most importantly cats.
Other: She’s a recovering alcoholic as of right now, however that probably won’t last long. Also this is Rose’s mom, not post scratch Roxy; she’s a whole other bag of cats.
Portfolio: Goddess of Night.
Explanation: Nyx is presumed to be the name of Roxy’s denizen in the post scratch universe, who’s name comes from the Greek goddess of night. It’s said that Nyx’s appearances in mythology are sparse, but reveal her as a figure of exceptional power and beauty. She is found in the shadows of the world and only ever seen in glimpses. Much like how Mom has appeared in the comics during her brief interactions with Rose. The very definition of Nyx’s being sums Mom up to a tee.
First-person sample: “I think I’ll take this moment to discuss with you my love for cats and gin. Two completely separate ideas that I’m not sure how well I can combine them together but we’ll see how it goes.” I pause in my typing for a brief moment to glance briefly over at my full martini glass. ‘Just one sip won’t hurt; I can still get this done.’ I convince myself as I take a small sip. Whoops, that was more than just a little sip I’ve managed to consume over half the glass in that one gulp. This is just getting sad now; it’s only one in the afternoon and I’m already on my third glass. Whatever, I give up. And so the third glass was down in no time. At this rate maybe I can be sober again by the time Rosey gets home from school... I should really stop lying to myself.
Third-person sample: Mom sits back in on the couch wine bottle in one hand and glass in the other, Rose had secluded herself to her room again… she really shouldn’t be surprised but yet she can’t help but wonder what she’s done wrong. What she’s could have possibly done to make her daughter hate her so much. She’s trying hard to make things right in her daughter’s eyes but no matter what she always seems to fail.
Mom was convinced that the gold frame for her drawing on the fridge would have gone over well but it hadn’t. Rose may have not been the best artist in the world but she wasn’t THAT bad; she thought the gesture would show rose how she would support her no matter what course she planned on taking with her life.
So where had she gone wrong? Sure she drank a lot, but what parent didn’t have a few drinks every now and then… Maybe that was the catch. Every Tuesday, Thursday and every other day of the week didn’t exactly count as once in a while. And so to cope with this revelation she’s decided to pour herself another drink.
